The Farm

Nestled in the beautiful Fulford Valley in the south end of Salt Spring Island our farm is cradled by Mt. Maxwell, Mt. Tuam, and Mt. Bruce, only a mile from the island beaches and the ferry terminal link to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

The farm is 10 acres in size and currently contains over 20,000 lavender plants in the ground. Our  list of varieties now stretches to over 60 different types of lavender, several of them rare.

The farm has several long-term goals. Firstly to become a large scale lavender producer, it is already the largest lavender farm in Canada and will soon rank alongside the largest lavender farms in the United States and Australia. It will provide a definitive source to gardening enthusiasts for many of the 300 varieties of lavender identified worldwide. It is already a place of beauty, which in a very low impact way enhances the magical place known as Salt Spring Island, providing both local employment and an interesting destination for visitors.
